Vinelife Studies
Vinelife Discipleship Classes cover a variety of topics and generally run several weeks at a time. If you would like to join a study or have questions, just call the church at 706-769-7660 . VineLife is a process of study experiences designed to help you:
Current Studies "Revelation 4: Interpreting Revelation in the Light of Biblical Prophecy"The final part of this four-part Precept study explores the relationship between Revelation and prophecies throughout the Bible, especially in the Old Testament. Through your inductive study you'll understand Bible prophecy and see how the Bible fits together in a whole new way. SUNDAY CLASS: August 3-November 23; 4:45-7:15 Logos SS classroom WEDNESDAY CLASS: August 12-November 19; 9:00-11:30 am in the Student Building Workbook $30.00 For more information about the Revelation 4 study, please contact the church office. "Discerning the Voice of God"Having a hard time knowing what God is saying versus what others are saying? Do you feel that the ability to hear God's voice is for other people and not for you? Is it only for people who lived in Biblical times? Not at all! The God who loved you enough to die for you loves you enough to talk to you. And wherever you are in your spiritual walk, God will find a way to speak to you in a way you will understand. Become acquainted with the Voice that has spoken from a fire and a cloud; with visible signs and an invisible Spirit; through a burning bush and burning hearts. This study by Priscilla Shirer is designed to help participants know the voice of God: His language, character, and tone of voice. A six week study on Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:30 am. Childcare is provided free of charge by reservation. Please call the office for further details. "Spiritual Warfare: Biblical Truth for Victory"Much controversy in spiritual warfare revolves around seeking to gain an upper hand on the enemy in order to defeat him. How much power does Satan actually have? Can he invade my life at any moment and wreak havoc? Where is God during Satan's attack? Is God really in charge? This study by John Franklin and Chuck Lawless is one you won't want to miss. This class will meet on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:15pm September 7th-November 16th. Free childcare is available by reservation. "Just Walk Across the Room"by Bill Hybels What if you knew that by simply crossing the room and saying hello to someone, you could change that person's life forever? Just a few steps to make an eternal difference. It has nothing to do with methods and everything to do with taking a genuine interest in another human being. All you need is a heart that's in tune with the Holy Spirit and a willingness to venture out of your "Circle of Comfort" and into another person's life. The highest value in personal evangelism is cooperating with the Spirit, says Hybels. This means playing only the role you're meant to play - walking when the Spirit says to walk, talking when he says to talk, and falling silent when he suggests that you've said enough. Hybels encourages you to "live in 3D" developing friendships, discovering stories, and discerning appropriate next steps as a means of learning to understand the Holy Spirit's promptings. This class will be held on Sundays from 6:00-7:15 pm September 7th-October 5th. Books are $Free childcare is available by reservation. For further information, please call the church office at 706-769-7660 .
